The Direct Care Australia team is highly flexible and offers care and support services 24-hours a day, seven days a week including weekends and public holidays. As well as being an approved Home Care Package Provider offering a wide variety of services for elderly people, Direct Care Australia also offers several NDIS services. The organisation works collaboratively with many healthcare and community care service providers including disability and aged care providers, local councils and residential care providers etc to ensure people get responsive and targeted support.

- Direct Care staff undertake ongoing training and professional development to ensure the highest quality of care so participants and their carers can trust that they are thoroughly referenced and criminal record checked and always carry photographic identification.
- They like to keep things real! Staff encourage people to maintain their independence, to build confidence in everyday activities and to stay connected with friends, loved ones and the community by setting goals that are right for them.
- The Direct Care workforce is sensitive to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communities and therefore does its best to provide individuals with a nurse or support worker who can understand and appreciate different cultural needs.
FLEXIBILITY
- Services can often be arranged within 24 hours and the organisation’s flexibility means they can support clients on an emergency or one-off basis.
- If you’d like a service “holiday”, Direct Care Australia is also flexible enough to put your services on hold until you are ready to continue.
If you travel within Australia, your services can follow you at no extra cost. Staff will arrange for the organisation’s local teams to seamlessly continue services. - All services are conveniently made to be flexible and they can be provided for either a couple of hours, short term or on an ongoing basis.
KEY SERVICES:
Direct Care Australia offers an amazing list of services and is audited and fully compliant with both Aged Care Quality Standards and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safety Standards.
NEW Gold Coast Wellness Hub – A new wellness hub is opening on the Gold Coast soon which will provide a range of tailored services that will improve the quality of life for elderly and special needs participants.
Plan management – The friendly Direct Care Australia plan managers help with financial and plan administration tasks. The team will save you hours by keeping track of payments, filing records, and managing NDIS funding claims.
Support Coordination and Specialist Support Coordination – Direct Care has experienced NDIS support coordinators and will work with individuals to ensure they get the most out of their NDIS plan to achieve their individual goals. The team will help identify ideal service providers and allied health professionals to support as per an individual NDIS plan.
24/7 Supported Independent Living – Direct Care live-in home assistance is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They can support people to get ready for school, university or work, as well as showers, preparing for the day, administering medication, preparing meals, transportation and other aspects of the daily routine.
Complex & high-intensity support – Direct Care Australia provides support to those with permanent disabilities who require long-term, complex and high-intensity care. Through the support of the NDIS, the passionate staff can help you through a range of personalised services including daily living tasks, social and community participation and domestic support.
Overnight – Active and passive support – The team can provide personal support to help you stay safe and comfortable, assist you with getting in and out of bed, repositioning, medication and pain management and anything else you may require.
Personal care – Everyday personal care is essential to independent living at home, which is why Direct Care Australia provides personal care including bathing, showering, dressing, toileting, mobility, transfer in and out of bed, assistance in using continence aids and appliances and managing continence.
Companionship – Whether it’s learning new skills, living independently, socialising and making new friends, finding a job you love or exploring interests and trying new things, the team works with you to make your possibilities a reality.
Domestic Support – Direct Care Australia believes that domestic support is more than just washing and cleaning, we take the time to understand individual needs and wants to assist in not just basic tasks. The company trains its staff to go the extra step and ensure individuals are satisfied.
Transport – The team can help with transportation services, assisting individuals to travel safely from their home to locations such as medical appointments, shopping centres, libraries or the park, as well as community events and activities.
