Melbourne Disability Connection Expo 2022
Victoria bounced back from post-pandemic gloom with glee and laughter when the Melbourne Disability Connection Expo, Sponsored by Afford, 2022 threw open its doors in January.
With 1,850 visitors and 144 exhibitors, there’s no denying the event was a sure-fire hit all round with free entertainment, free advice and freedom to get out there and make CONNECTIONS once again!
NDIS solutions were discovered, vital services and products were sourced and life-long relationships formed, but, above all lots of fun and enjoyment was had by all across two fabulous days all under one big roof!
Visitors needed to CONNECT after a period of disconnect and restrictions, thanks to COVID-19. They needed to be SEEN and HEARD – they needed the EXPERTS to understand them and deliver NDIS-funded.
They needed to exercise CHOICE and CONTROL over their plans. The sponsors and exhibitors were delighted to oblige, while at the same time shining the spotlight on their business brand, their passion and their understanding.
By bringing everyone together, in volumes, our events are fast becoming the biggest and best in Australia.
Expo Magazine
Our Melbourne Disability Connection Expo magazine allowed Victoria’s leading NDIS providers to showcase their specialities. The magazine is a key feature of all expos as a major navigator for visitors as it outlines the depth and breadth of providers from each region. Find out more about our sponsors, but most importantly, browse the extensive list of exhibitors.
Post Expo Report
We launched a comprehensive marketing campaign to increase awareness of the expo and encourage NDIS participants to register as a visitor. The campaign consisted of sponsored, boosted and organic posts and advertisements distribution across all social media channels with a focus on the Developing Australian Communities Facebook page and the event page as well.
To find out more about our marketing strategies, advertising and promotion and post expo numbers check out our Melbourne DCE 2022 Post Expo Report.
Melbourne Disability Staff Recognition Award Winners
After meeting, greeting and engaging with people all day, 125 guests dressed to the nines, wined, dined and celebrated the best the industry has to offer at the Disability Leadership Organisaton’s Melbourne Disability Staff Recognition Awards 2022, while raising money for this year’s charity, RizeUp.
We managed to raise $4,000 for RizeUp and all guests, nominees and winners had a fabulous night doing so!
But a huge congratulations to our award winners:
- Kristina De Rueda: Support Worker of the Year
- Caidie Swayn: Above & Beyond Award
- OutDoors Inc: Best Expo Display
- Lachlan Glen: Contemporary Practice
- Tristan Sinclair: Sector Innovation
