A Cocoon House is a life transforming change

An Early Bird Exhibitor and our fabulous Naming Sponsor for the Perth Disability Connection Expo 2023, St Jude’s story began in 1982 with supporting people with psychosocial needs, disability and the homeless.

Unlike today, people with disability or psychosocial support needs at the time had limited accommodation options other than hospital or living with their family. Often, people had to stay in hospital for extended periods even if they simply needed basic support or a home.

Since 2015, St Jude’s sought additional supported accommodation for people with disability and psychosocial needs. This new accommodation option extends to both long-term and short-term (respite) needs. They now operate over 110 supported accommodation outlets across WA and QLD for NDIS Participants.

In 2017, St Jude’s opened a community learning centre in Bellevue aimed at capacity building, skills development and recreational use. Due to the increased service demand and requirement for more capacity, this centre is now based at their Midland Office and allows for a range of activities to occur.

In 2018, St Jude’s Home Care Services began to support senior citizens living independently in their own homes, using home care packages through aged care.

St Jude’s services include

  • Housing and Accommodation
  • Respite and Short Term Accommodation
  • In-Home Support
  • Community Participation
  • Allied Health and Therapy Services
  • Support Coordination
  • Recovery Coach

Connect with St Jude’s at the Perth Disability Connection Expo, 25th and 26th August 2023 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
